What it does
PartGuys makes custom 3D printed parts in SLS nylon and FDM plastics and ships them in the US. Connected to an AI app, it can show what can be made, measure and price your model files at the same prices as partguys.io, compare shipping, place an order after you confirm the total, and follow the order to your door.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it PartGuys and paste
https://partguys.io/mcp. Leave the advanced settings empty. - Click Connect. On the PartGuys page, sign in, choose Real orders or Test mode, and click Allow.
- Start a chat and ask, for example: "What can PartGuys make?"
Claude Code: add it with the command below, then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

- Once PartGuys is listed in ChatGPT, find it under Apps and connect it.
- Until then, on plans with developer mode: open Settings, Apps and Connectors, Advanced settings, turn on developer mode, then choose Create.
- Name it PartGuys, paste
https://partguys.io/mcpand choose OAuth sign-in. - Sign in on the PartGuys page, choose real orders or test mode, and click Allow. In a new chat, pick PartGuys from the + menu.
Menus differ by ChatGPT plan and change from time to time. If you cannot find developer mode, your workspace admin may need to turn it on.
Other apps
Any app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth) can use https://partguys.io/mcp. For apps that only take an API key, see the developer guide.
Orders and payment
- Before anything is ordered, the app shows you the full total (parts, shipping and tax) and waits for you to confirm.
- You pay each order yourself on the secure checkout page. A connected app never charges a saved card and never sees your card details.
- Nothing is made until the order is paid. Unpaid orders can be cancelled.
- New connections start with a limit of $1,000 an order and $5,000 a month. Prices are the same as on partguys.io, with no extra fees.
- In test mode nothing is real: pay with the test card 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date and any CVC.
Your files
Prices always come from your exact model. When a file is too large to pass through the chat, the app gives you a private PartGuys link to upload it (several files at once if you like) instead of rebuilding or simplifying it. Links expire after an hour.

Privacy and disconnecting
